Nasal Valve collapse is one of the reasons you may find it difficult to breathe through the nose and feel that the air is obstructed. It can be caused by previous rhinoplasty when care is taken to ‘fix’ the appearance of the nose but the structure and function of the nose is not respected, by trauma to the nose, or previous surgery within the nose.
Dermal fillers can be used to splint the nasal valve open, correcting this and giving immediate relief. The filler is placed inside the nose and therefore there is no cosmetic change. Dr Cetto has trained as an ENT surgeon (Otolaryngologist) and therefore can diagnose and treat this problem non-invasively, without surgery and without downtime.
